    Isratech Waterworks Hosts Technical Workshop & Factory Tour

    This free technical workshop and factory tour will be hosted by the executive of Isratech Jamaica Limited (“IJL”), with presentations and engagement sessions lead by the technical team of Isratech Waterworks, a division of IJL.

    The workshop is designed for architects, engineers, developers and building industry project managers, charged with the responsibility of delivering complex projects on time and on budget. Topics to be covered relate to complex issues of water treatment and wastewater treatment, including cost management, application of new technologies and sustainability modelling.

    Stakeholders Reception For Canex 2017

    Hosted by Isratech, CanEx Jamaica Business Conference and Expo took over the lawns of the beautiful Bellefield Great House in Montego Bay, St James, at what was tagged a private networking cocktail event recently.

    Held on the eve of the conference staged at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, the event brought together a number of the speakers, panellists, partners and specially invited guests.

    In fact, organiser and founder Douglas Gordon said the cocktail party is where a great deal of networking takes places and has been credited with more than 10 deals that came from the 2016 event with a value exceeding US$20 million.

    This year, the cocktail saw business people, doctors, researchers and stakeholders getting together to meet and discuss ways in which they could collaborate.

    Some of the key attendees included Montel Williams; Congressman William Tauzin; Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett; Dr Lorenzo Gordon of the Ministry of Health Cannabis Unit; Delano Seiveright from the Cannabis Licensing Authority; Benjie Hodara of Isratech; Greg Douglas, acting CEO of the Cannabis Licensing Authority; Don Gittens from JAMPRO; Eleanor Hussey; T’Shura Gibbs, president of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Hedda Pitter of Newport Fersan; Canadian businessman Sidney Kimmel; and Lissy Boekholt of The Cannabis Supplier out of the Netherlands.

    RADA Annual Open Day 2014 Port Antonio, Portland.

    Isratech Jamaica Limited participated in the annual RADA (Rural Agricultural Development Authority) Annual Open Day held at the Folly Oval on Wednesday, February 26. Hosted by the Portland Parish Office, this year’s theme is “Empowering Women and Youth for Agricultural Sustainability through Technological Advancements”.It was a wonderful event as we enjoyed a bright, sunny day by the sea side; the company of fellow exhibitors and the visit of patrons who were filled with interest and curiosity. The event was also graced by the Mayor of Port Antonio, a representative from the National Advisory Board, members of Parliament from West and East Portland, the Minister of Agriculture and the CEO of RADA.

    It was a wonderful event as we enjoyed a bright, sunny day by the seaside; the company of fellow exhibitors and the visit of patrons who were filled with interest and curiosity.  The event was also graced by the Mayor of Port Antonio, a representative from the National Advisory Board, members of Parliament from West and East Portland, the Minister of Agriculture and the CEO of RADA.

    Our presence in the parish was very welcomed and we capitalized on the opportunity to showcase and share information on our products and services from our three divisions: Jamaica Drip Irrigation, Isratech Waterworks and Isratech Energy Solutions.The event overall was a success. It was very informative with the exchange of information, product ideas and innovations from the various entities that were represented. A variety of produce was also available at the farmer’s market and the entertainment package included music, fun

    A Memorable Occasion

    The years of long service range from 9-22 years. A total of nine (9) awardees were commended for their years of dedicated service since the company’s inception in 1990.
    Our guest speaker, Dr. D. Roache, spoke of the importance of rewarding staff loyalty. She encouraged us all to continue to strive for excellence in all that we do which is of mutual benefit to ourselves and the company.
    The evening was one filled with fun, music and laughter as we celebrated together. We look forward to many more happy events together.
    As Isratech Jamaica Limited continues to grow, it is evident that we are developing a positive corporate culture in which our employees expand their skills and enjoy their time at work.     Isratech Waterworks: International Technical Workshop 2014

    Isratech Waterworks held its Caribbean Technical Workshop from Thursday, June 26 to Friday, June 27 on the grounds of Isratech Jamaica Limited, Kendal, Manchester. It was a great success as it was filled with innovative and informative presentations and practical demonstrations on polyethylene pipe welding technology.

    International experts presented on Electro Fusion & Butt Fusion welding technologies, municipal & wastewater treatment solutions and other interesting topics. We thank all our attendees and presenters from far and wide for participating in this illuminating event. We all hope that the new knowledge gained will be implemented in future projects for better water management systems in our Caribbean region.

    TIC 2014: “Creating Opportunities, Driving Growth”

    Isratech Jamaica Limited is proud to announce that its participation as an exhibitor in this year’s Trade & Invest Convention (TIC), was a wonderful experience. The convention was hosted by the Trinidad & Tobago Manufacturers Association, held from July 2-5, 2014 at the Center of Excellence, Macoya, Trinidad.

    TIC’s mandate ” To foster inter and extra-regional trade for regional businesses”, captured our vision for growth in the international market as its aim was to connect buyers and sellers to create new business partnerships. Isratech’s product and service offerings from the three divisions: Jamaica Drip Irrigation, Isratech Waterworks and Isratech Energy Solutions were extended to many persons of a variety of industries and interests. We have definitely made a positive and lasting impression as we shared information about irrigation technology as well as water treatment and energy solutions.     CWWA 2014 “Water, Waste & Energy in the Caribbean”

    Isratech Jamaica Ltd. participated in The Caribbean Water & Wastewater Association (CWWA) annual Caribbean conference and exhibition at Atlantis, Bahamas; the premier regional event for water, wastewater, and solid waste professionals of all types.

    The Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) is a regional non-governmental organization established by an Act of Parliament in Trinidad & Tobago in 1991. The CWWA is a grouping of water, wastewater and solid waste professionals in the public and private sectors.

    The mission of the CWWA is to bring together the water and sanitation community in the Caribbean towards the protection of public health and the promotion of sustainable development. This 23rd annual conference was hosted under the theme “Water, Waste and Energy in the Caribbean”.

    This signature event was held from Monday, October 6 to Saturday, October 11 featuring world-class workshops and seminars; regional specific technical sessions; exhibitor and vendor showcases; field trips and technical tours and more.

    The conference promoted education & training in water supply, wastewater and solid waste disposal as well as to encourage the study, research and development in water supply, waste water and solid waste disposal.

    As we strive to continuously improve our services and solution offerings to our customers in Jamaica and the Caribbean Region, we are committed to pursuing new knowledge, trends and technological advancements in the sector.

  • St. Lucia Greenhouse Training Program

    St. Lucia Greenhouse Training Program

    The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Production, Fisheries, Co-operatives and Rural Development from the Government of St. Lucia, in collaboration with Jamaica Drip Irrigation, hosted a greenhouse training program for the Youth Agri-Entrepreneurship Project (YAEP). This was held from Thursday, October 23rd to Friday October 24th,2014 at the National Skills Development Center (NSDC), Vieux-Fort, Saint Lucia.

    This special training program was done conjointly to the St. Lucia Greenhouse Project, a turnkey operation, which highlights an exemplary example of initiative being taken in the Caribbean as an important step in response to matters of food security.

    The comprehensive training program covered key topics:

    • * Introduction to Hydroponics and Greenhouse Agriculture
    • * Plant Production Systems (including soilless systems)
    • * Drip Irrigation, Filtering & Control System
    • * Protocol and Maintenance of Irrigation Systems
